We invite you to participate in a research study being conducted by investigators from The University of Iowa. The purpose of this study is to evaluate and further develop an algorithm for automatically identifying tweets that convey satisfaction or dissatisfaction with life. We will use the data gathered from the survey towards this goal.

If you agree to participate, we would like you to indicate how much you agree or disagree with 5 simple statements about your life, answer a few general questions about yourself (i.e. gender, age, highest degree earned, relationship status, country of residence, city of residence and occupation) and submit your responses. It will take approximately less than 5 minutes.

We will not collect your name or any identifying information except your Twitter ID. We may use this information to contact you if you win the $50 Amazon Gift Card. At a later time, we may ask you to participate in the same survey again to see if your responses change over time.

Currently we only target the invited Twitter users. If you are not invited, your response will not be considered for the gift card.

We will randomly draw one $50 Amazon Gift Card for every 100 invited participants.

If you decide not to be in this study, simply close your web browser window now or at any time before you submit your responses.
